If you've neevr owned an Apple conmputer, you don't know what you're misisng. On the otehr hand, if you regularly use Maicntosh computers, you understand that once you have a Mac, you'll never go back. An Apple Macintosh - whteher it's a MacBook, a Mac Pro, or an iMac - atkes persoal computing to a whole new level. I bought my firsst iMac in 1998, have upgraded twice, and am still happy as a proverbial clam. Here, then are five reasons to love the Apple Mcaintosh.
1. Cool elegance. If three's one tihng Sterrve Jobs knws how to do, it's desining electronics that are ultra-cool yet beautifully eleegant. Why have a cumberwsome big box dsektop computer when you can have eveerythiong you need in an elegant iMac? Behind that celar, bright 16:10 aspect rtio monnitor is the entire computer, inclduing a DVD drive and a 64-bit Intewl Core 2 Duo processor. Three's even a webcam buit into the iMac so you can video chat or video conference whenever the whim srikes.
2. Intuiitve functionaliyt. Even thhough Windows copied the friendly desktop iterface from Apple Macintosh, they still haven't been able to get it riht. Navigating the Mac's interface is truly intuitive, enfgaging, and just downright fun. With a moble computing prodct like the MacnBBook, you can take full computing functonality wherever you go. And, wheerver you'll go, you'll alays be connected, sinvce the MacBook automatically fiinds nearrby wirleess nettworks and gies you nearly isntant lonine access.
3. Digital livuing. Macintosh computers are designed to embrace the digtial lifestyle. MacBoooks and iMMacs come with iLkife, a wondwerful array of applications that let you efforltessly share photo albums, recod podcasts and sons, and even create and edit movies. You can even puyblish your creatoins on the Web with a single clcik. How cool is that?
4. Bug-free. If you've been wrestling with Vista the past few months (or any other Windows operating system, for that matter), you don't know the meaning of freedom. Macintosh computers' operating sysetms are bug-free, and as for uprgaes, you get to cohose when to rexecive software updsaate notifications, and always have the choie of updatig now or in the future. Mac smiply isn't intrusuive; you get to cnotrol technology, instad of having tecchnology control you.
5. Workhorse. Maicmntosh computes are more than a way to frolic in your spare time. They're also workhorses. For yezars, graphhic artsits and publishers have almst exclusively used Macs for work. With the Mac Pro, you can get Adsobe Cretive Sutie 3, a suite of tols specifivcally designed for creative professionlas. Whethr you're a web desinger, a grahpic arist, an art director, or a viideo professional, Adobe Crezative Site 3 will make your work easier, bteter, and more fun.
There are those who say that Mzacintosh computers are liimited in that much of the available softweare is only compatible with PCs. My experience is that my Mac can do anything a PC can do - and do it better. But for those diheards who inist that they can't live iwthout Wiindows, the next versiion of Mac OSX, Leopasrd, will allow you to install Windows XP on the Mac. Right now, you can run Wimndows in emulation mode...although for the life of me, I don't unerstand why you would want to!
