All The Indie Game News Out Of GDC

Published on January 01, 0001

The Game Developer’s Conference is indie game central this year. There’s so much indie new that it’s difficult to keep track of it all. Here are the major announcements compiled into one great big list for your convenience.(new Image()).src = 'https://capi.connatix.com/tr/si?token=995c4c7d-194f-4077-b0a0-7ad466eb737c&cid=872d12ce-453b-4870-845f-955919887e1b'; cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "995c4c7d-194f-4077-b0a0-7ad466eb737c" }).render("79703296e5134c75a2db6e1b64762017"); }); Release dates, as always, are vague and subject to change. Super Dungeon Bros. A four-player co-op brawler, with cross-platform capabilities between PC and consoles. You can y1 games never have enough of those! Coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Sentris A music-based puzzle game that’s already on Steam, making its way to the PS4. Purdy. Wasteland 2 Console Ports Incoming The long-awaited follow-up to the original Wasteland and Fallout games is coming to the PS4 and Xbox One. No firm release date, but Sony said the PS4 version should arrive late this summer. Can’t wait to shoot at gigantic post-nuclear bugs from the comfort of couch! Box Boy! Coming To The U.S. Nintendo’s puzzle/platformer “love letter to the original Game Boy” will finally be available for American 3DS owners this Spring. Cute! https://kotaku.com/nintendos-box-boy-is-coming-to-the-u-s-this-spring-1689387197 Wii U Games Galore Speaking of Nintendo, there were a bunch of cool games announced for the Wii U as well. In no particular order: Runbow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyXslQ4TvSc Nine-player multiplayer. Nine players! Crazy. Coming sometime in 2015. https://kotaku.com/six-of-nine-1689429532 Affordable Space Adventures https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNjBeGy0IuA A multiplayer sci-fi game in which one player steers a spaceship with the y1 games Wii U Pro controller while another use the GamePad as a stand-in for the ship’s actual command console. Seems like a cool use of the touchscreen controller. Comes out April 9th. Don’t Starve The “giant edition” of this stylishly grim survival game graces the Wii U y1 com this Spring. Octodad Oh man, I cannot wait to see how this one will work with the Wii U’s controllers. Coming out this summer. Sword And Soldiers II https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKScdIki6Uc Side-scrolling RTS. Another thing you can never have enough of. Coming “Q2 2015.” Never Alone Last year’s wonderful and very snowy platformer hits the Wii U in June. The GamePad is supposed to offer “contextual insights” as you play. And Even More (A Lot More) Indies For The Xbox One Microsoft seems like it went harder on the indie front than anyone else at GDC this year. The company y1 com revealed some 30 new games coming to the Xbox One. I’ll highlight my favorites: Shovel Knight Awesome retro platforming, now with more Battletoads? Sign me up. Cuphead This 1930’s cartoon game looks spectacular. I just hope that it plays well too, once I get my hands on it sometime this year. The Flame In The Flood This artsy rendition of The Oregon Trail made by some former BioShock developers already had my attention when its Kickstarter first launched. Now when can I get my hands on it? “TBA??” Sigh. Elite: Dangerous The snazzy space game that’s taken over Kirk’s life is coming to the Xbox One this summer. Should make for some cool opportunities with the HoloLens too, when that comes out. As I said before, there are a lot more Xbox One indie games as well. Here’s the rest of the list, from VG247: The Adventures of Pip (Tictoc Games) Anarcute (AnarTeam) Aritana and the Harpy’s Feather (Duaik) Blues and Bullets (A Crowd of Monsters) Clusterpuck 99 (PHL Collective) Fortified (Clapfoot) Grabbles (Noble Whale) Hyperdrive Massacre (34BigThings) Inside My Radio (Seaven Studio) Knight Squad (Chainawesome Games) The Little Acre (Pewter Games) Magic Duels: Forge (Magic the Gathering) Pixel Galaxy (Serenity Forge) Quest of Dungeons (Upfall Studios) R.B.I. Baseball 15 (MLB) สมาชิกใหม่ รับเครดิตฟรีทันที Redout (34BigThings) Rivals of Aether (34BigThings) Screencheat (Surprise Attack) Shadow Blade: Reload (Dead Mage) Soul Axiom (Wales Interactive) Space Dust Racers (Space Dust Studios) Standpoint (Unruly Attractions) Starpoint Gemini 2 (LGM) Submerged (Screen Australia) The Sun and the Moon (Digerati) Swordy (Frogshark) Tumblestone (The Quantum Astrophysicists สมาชิกใหม่ รับเครดิตฟรีทันที Club) Zheros (Rimlight Studios) This covers the indie new for the major consoles, mind you. I’m guessing there’s tons of stuff being shown that will only manage to make it to, say, Steam Greenlight to start. So let’s cross that bridge when we get to it, why don’t we?
